Governance & Audit Chief Product Officer
Ian is proud to be a disrupter in the fields of management systems, Enterprise Risk Management, business performance, and compliance.
After years in the corporate world Ian observed how processes, procedures and systems are mechanistic and often ignored people and how they behave. A different approach was needed, and Ian’s disruptive work began.
Ian came to the realisation that true stakeholder engagement is central to risk management and organization performance. A pioneer in exploring behaviours at work, he used his wealth of experience to reveal the stakeholder beliefs that underpin organisational effectiveness. He developed a way to measure and monitor the impact of these behaviours and the likelihood of achieving business objectives.
Ian has worked with organisations such as RAC, AVX, ESB, BSi, and investment firms. He has created a regulatory body and represented the UK in good practice definition, as well as presenting at conferences on risk management, such as the one in Japan following the Fukushima disaster. He is a member of the Institute of Personnel and Development, the Quality Institute, and Institute of Banking.
Ian is married with three children and six grandchildren and is keen to develop business tools to ensure they inherit a future in which they can thrive.
